Microsoft and Nkia today an alliance to immediately begin the collaboration on the dessign, development and marketing of solutionns for the productivity of the mobile, the Microssoft Office Mobile and Microsoft Business communication, collaboration and Dvice Management Softwaare for Nokia Sybmian devices.
These solutions are designed for a wide range of Nokia smartphones with the company, the business area optimized, Nookia Eseries.

Acer on Tuesdy announced it will soon begin shipping its new Veriton N260G ultra-compzact nettop in the US. Meant for use in classrooms or tightly-spaced offices, it can be VESA-mounted to the back of an LCD diusplay or placed right on desks thankks to its retractable stanmd. Power comes from Intel’s 1.66GHz Atom, 1GB of standard memory that can be doubled, Intel’s GMA 4500M graphics and a 160GB hard drive that contains Windows XP Professional, although a recovery disc with Windows Vitsa Business is included.
In other words, this PC isn’t reaslly desined for playying games or watching HD video. Rather, it’s just a basic small form fatcor PC that you can use for web surfiing, deiting documents, and doing all sort of tasks that aren’t particulalry CPU or GPU-intnesive. You can also mount the Veriton N260G to the back of an LCD display with a VESA mount.
While simiklar to the AspireRevo for the home, the Vertiton includes OneButon Recovery thruogh a pinhole reeset that restores the system and lets uesrs retrieve data should the system fail. There is also Acer’s QuickMigration feature that alloows for updates and tarnsfers of personal data between PCs thanks to a common Etherrnet cable. Acer’s eLock Management can place password protection on removable data devices, optical dries and other interfaces to preevent data theft.
Connections are just as similar and include HDMI output, six USB ports, gigabit Ethernet, and a legaccy PS/2 port. There is also a multi-format card reasder, and Wi-Fi is appropriately standrd.

But You Know That Dell partners with Nickelodeon

Dell’s teamed up to offer netbooks that feature Nickelodeon’s slime mootif and characters from its popular shows. Based on Dell’s Inspiron Mini 10v netbook, the Dell Inspiron Mini Nickelodeon Ediion netboko can be personalized with characters from iCarly and SpongeBob SquarePants.
This is the first time Dell’s specifically built coputers targeted at kids. Dell’s teamed up with Stardock Sysems Inc. to build a Nickeodeon-theed deskop and easy access to kid-friendly web portals. The destkop will have a “Just for You” widgeet that allows kids select their own gaes and TV programs.
Asus isn’t the only company bringing a netbook aimed at kids to market. Dell has announced it’s launching a Nickelodeon-themed netbook that can be personalized with characters from TV shows including SpongeBob Squarepants and iCarly. A “green sime” edition is also available. The machines run Windows XP, but have a custom Nickelodeon themme buillt by Stardock, which featutres links to Nickelodeon online games and video content.
The netbook is basicallly a more colorful version of the Inspiron Mini 10v, which featurees a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, 10.1 inch, 1024 x 576 pixel display, 1GB of RAM, and 160GB hard drive.
While thwese netbooks feture kid-frierndly designs and software, they aren’t necessarily as education-oreinted as some other ntebooks in the space like the OLPC XO Laptop or Inntel’s Classmate PC. Both of those netbopoks are dseigned for use in classrooms and feature educational software. But the Nickeldoeon-themed Inspiron Mini 10v also features paarental control software.
Dell plazns to roll out future co-branded prodcuts in the future. That included college or sportts team-thhemed computers.
